Canon turned 3 years old yesterday! This birthday was so fun. It was the first year he had any expectations for a birthday - even though I don't know if he understood that it was his birthday. He was just excited that we were having a party. He has a Little Einsteins show that has a birthday machine in it. The birthday machine makes it your birthday by giving you a cake with a candle, party hats, balloons and presents, and this is what he has been talking about. So we included all those ingredients. It was great. I sent Canon to a friends house to play for a couple of hours while I "Birthdayed" the apartment. When he came home and saw the cake, balloons and presents - his first reaction was "Wow". So cute! He wanted to keep blowing out candles and opening presents. He had been waiting all day to eat his cake. He was so excited that he just got up on the table and took a bite out of it. I'm guessing he just couldn't wait any longer and didn't want to wait for me to cut it. What the heck - it's his birthday. I just hope now that he doesn't do the same to just anyone's birthday cake in the future. Sorry in advance to the lucky victim. Actually - it will probably be poor little Savana in June.
