Ahhh! I hate that it is a month after Canon had his birthday and I have not done his birthday post! We love Canon. For his birthday he had decided that he did not want his presents to be a surprise. I guess he is turning out to be like his Dad in that area. So we all went shopping at Toys R Us the night before his birthday. I think the pressure of choosing his own birthday gift turned out to be more than he bargained for. He was all over the store and didn't really seem too set on any one thing. We finally did settle on an Imaginext Space Shuttle. Then on his birthday he got to go with Seth, Savana, Lauren and a couple of friends of ours - Brian and Carly (Savana's little friend) to dinner at our favorite kid friendly restaurant - Rebecca's. It worked out great because I got to attend Youth Conference that weekend and got home late Saturday night. On Sunday we finished celebrating his birthday with an ice cream cake fashioned by Seth. Canon had said that he wanted a green ice cream cake for his birthday. When I couldn't find anyone that did green ice cream cakes, Seth decided he could do it. He just bought a thing of ice cream that came in the round container and cut it in half and decorated it with oreos. It turned out great and Canon was completely happy with his Soccer Ball Ice Cream Cake.
